Anime Kakegurui Has A Different Ending Than The Manga!

The original author of the manga Kakegurui: Compulsive Gambler Homura Kawamoto recently announced that the anime adaption will have an original ending.

The 12th and last episode of the summer 2017 anime Kakegurui has a different ending than the original manga does, according to the author himself and the television staff. It will premiere on Saturday, September 23rd and will revolve around *SPOILER* the final game between Jabami Yumeko and the student council president Kirari Momobami. The loser of this game won’t be allowed to set foot on the schools ground ever again.

Synopsis of Kakegurui:

The anime starts off in the seemingly normal school Hyakkaou Private Academy, where the richest children in town educate themselves. During the usual school day you wouldn’t assume anything to be much different than at other schools. But as soon as the bell rings and school is over, everything starts to change. Students don’t only study the basic school stuff everyone has to learn in life, but also the obscure art of gambling and manipulating situations to get what they need. Every day after school the students start gambling with each other, betting amounts normal people couldn’t even imagine to own.

Yumeko Jabami – the new girl – finds out about this and immediately starts gambling insanely. Many students find her naive, because of the crazy risks she always takes. But little do they know: she doesn’t do it for the money, but for the thrill and excitement.

The anime will also be premiering on Netflix USA & Canada on November 7th and everywhere else on December 2nd. The original manga will also soon be released in English with the title “Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler”.
