In this anime the impossible seems to be a normality – the human race is able to teleport to the planet Mars. While part of the population decided to settle there – leading to them having far advanced technologies they call “Aldnoah” – the other part stayed on our home planet Earth (aka “Terrans”). The situation doesn’t stay peaceful, however. A battle between both groups evolves, destroying the moon and with that the hyper gate that connected both planets, which made it able to teleport to Mars in the first place.

The future seems to be peaceful – but 15 years later the story seems to repeat itself. Inaho Kaizuka witnesses the assassination of Asseylum Vers Allusia, the Vers Empire’s Princess, who came to Earth to settle everything that has happened in the past and possibly build a new relationship. The war starts over once again.
